Learn how to go from
THIS to
THIS
1. Open up the picture you want to use, I chose
this one.
2. Duplicate the base layer twice and set it to
Screen at 100% opacity both times.

3. Duplicate the layer again and this time set it to
Overlay at 100%.
4. Go to
Layer >New Adjustement Layer >Selective Color and set the following settings:
Reds: -100, +30, -45, +35
Yellows: -100, +100, 0, +100
Whites: -72, +41, -35, +20
Neutrals: +10, +20, -5, +19
5. Go to
Layer >New Fill Layer >Solid Color and enter in
faf1df and set it the layer to
Multiply at 100%.
6. Go to
Layer >New Adjustement Layer >Levels and select
Red in the Channel Drop Down Box and enter in 103, 1.00, 249 for the Input Levels. Click ok.
7. Go to
Layer >New Adjustement Layer >Color Balance and enter in +64, +22, +35. Click ok.
8. Go to
Layer >New Adjustement Layer >Hue/Saturation and make the Saturation +8.
9. Go to
Layer >New Adjustement Layer >Channel Mixer and set the following settings:
Red: +98, 0, 0
Green: 0, +95, 0
Blue: 0, 0, +95
When you've done that, click ok.
10. Go to
Layer >New Adjustement Layer >Brightness/Contrast and set the Brightness to +9 and the Contrast to +12. Click ok.
11. Last step! Select the base layer and drag it to the very top and set it to
Soft Light at 60%.
You're done! Your picture should've turned out like
this. Keep in mind that this coloring may not work for every picture, the coloring on the original picture must be similar to the one I used for it to work well.
